Citizens of Ward 5,
Thank you for electing me as your 5th Ward City Councilperson. I am prepared to stand up and advocate on your behalf for the opportunities our city faces and make sure your opinions are part of the discussion. I will encourage the city to come together on major issues like crime, great schools, affordable housing, tax fairness, and environmental issues that are even more important now that DMC is in full swing.
By getting to know me, you will see my commitment to making this city great. In addition, my leadership and knowledge is ready to handle the tough decisions that will come with this council position. In the past I have served many leadership positions and have attended council meetings for more than 20 years as a citizen of Rochester. My leadership and volunteer roles in organizations such as Habitat for Humanity, Camp Olson YMCA, Olmsted County Environmental Commission, and Olmsted Public Health have given me the experience necessary to help make the best decisions for Ward 5 and for the city of Rochester.
I am ready to serve you as your councilperson, and I am not afraid to encourage city staff to try new approaches to old problems. I look forward to hearing from everyone in Ward 5. Feel free to contact me to discuss your concerns and questions.
